- Arundu
-
Arundu (also called Arnawai) is a Galbar village in Kunar Valley. In the past it was part of the princely state of Chitral.
Arundu lies at the base of the Chogo Lungma Glacier, at an altitude of about 2900m. The village is in a very remote area, and the people live a simple agriculture life tucked away in the mountains. The men occasionally work as porters for expeditions climbing "Spantik" (7027), of which the base camp is 3 days trek away at the upper end of the glacier.
