Gate Mudaliyar Arumugampillai Coomaraswamy (1783–1836) was a Sri Lankan Tamil politician during the British Raj, and served on the Legislative Council from 1833 to 1846^[1]. He was an Indian from Tamil Nadu who migrated to Jaffna in the early 19th century^[2]. He was the father of Sir Muthu Coomaraswamy and grandfather of Ananda Coomaraswamy.^[3]
