Nick Kisner

Nicholas (Nick) "Slick" Kisner (born January 17, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American boxer.

He began boxing at age 8. In 2005, Nick became the National Silver Gloves Champion in the 12-13 81 kg/178 lb division. The next year, Nick moved into the cadets (15-16) division where he became the 2006 National Junior Golden Gloves Champion in the 15-16 91 kg/201+ lb division and the Ohio State Fair Winner in the 15-16 189 lb division. Kisner went on to be ranked #5 nationally by the USA Boxing in the 15-16/189 lb division.

The next year, in the 2007 cadets (15-16) division, Kisner became the National Silver Gloves Champion, the 2007 National Junior Golden Gloves Champion, the 2007 National Junior Olympic Champion, and the 2007 Ringside World Championships Winner,[1] all in the 201+ lb division. He also earned the outstanding boxer award at the State Silver Gloves tournament and was named team captain of the National Silver Gloves Association. That same year, Nick reached #1 in the USA Boxing 15-16/201+ lb national rankings and was #4 in the cadet 15-16/189+ lb world rankings.

In 2008, Kisner moved into the men's division. He won a spot at the Men's National Golden Gloves Tournament, where he reached the quarterfinals and became a place winner. Nick then went on to become the Under-19 national champion and Men's National PAL Champion at the age of 17 in the 201+ lb division. He went on to earn a spot at the 2008 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico in the 201+ lb division, in which he reached the quartearfinals and again became a place winner.

In his last big amateur event, the 2009 Men's USA Boxing National Championships, Nick won the silver medal in the 201 lb division. He turned pro in 2010 and is undefeated in his first ten professional bouts.[2]
