Puthooram is one of the oldest cable TV network in Karukachal broadcasting since 1998. The network along with 9 other network started their local Channel in 1999 with a name "Channel Nine". In 2005,Puthooram Cable Network launched their own channel 'Puthooram', followed by 'Puthooram Plus' in 2007.

The channel name Puthooram was a product of its founder Rajesh Puthooram. The unique ardhachakra logo was designed by Ragesh Puthooram. The slogan says Nadinte Drisyajaalakam.
