Alasdair hunter

Alasdair Hunter is current President and Chief Executive of the Queen Margaret Union one of two students' unions at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He works mainly in the West End of Glasgow, but also across Scotland in the theatre and entertainment industry. His work has created controversy in Glasgow due to its exploration of texts in non-conventional ways. This includes a production of Titus Andronicus that cast Aaron as a white man, choosing to explore issues of terrorism over issues of race.

As well as his current work within the QMU, where he can be seen to be extending social and cultural provision for students through nights such as 'Pins and Needles', he is a Board Member of Macrobert, Stirling. He is also a graduate of the University of Glasgow, where he gained an MA Hons. in Theatre Studies and despite his young age has already worked with various reknowned companies including Borderline (Theatre Company), Ayr, Contact Theatre, Manchester and Scottish Youth Theatre.
