Gertrude Comfort Morrow (born
1892 , died1987 ) was an American architect most known for designing withIving Morrow theGolden Gate Bridge inSan Francisco ,California .Morrow was born in
San Francisco and received her bachelor's degree in archcitecture from [UC Berkeley [ in1913 , and her master's degree on year later. She worked as an independent architect out of Berkeley before joining the firm of her future husband,Irving Morrow . From1924 to1940 , Morrow practiced architecture with Irving and his associate,William I. Garren . She was the Supervising architect for St. Francis Woods, a residentialSan Francisco neighborhood, duringWorld War I .
