Blachindla is a German Pastry dessert. It is made of a pie-like crust and filled with a pumpkin filling.
Below is a recipe:
Crust:3 eggs1 c. sugar1 tsp. salt2 c. whipping cream3 tsp. baking powder6 c. flour
Filling:3 15 oz. cans pumpkin5 eggs1 1/2 c. brown sugar3/4 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. salt3 tsp. cinnamon1 1/2 tsp. ginger3/4 tsp. cloves
Cut circular or square pieces of dough, fill with filling and fold over. Cut 2 slits in top of dough, place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly golden-brown.
