- Embubbled
Embubbled - (adjective) The elation experienced after consuming a sparkling alcoholic beverage (for example Champagne, Prosecco, etc.)
History
The word originated in old Ireland during the time of the Cromwellian plantation. There is a great many rumors as to who it was that created the word, however, it is generally agreed that it came from County Meath or perhaps West Meath. Recently resurrected, it came back into use after a great many years searching within the archives of
NUI Maynooth . Esteemed psychologist, Mariann B. Keely, discovered the word in an old tome while researching the parental tactics of both the Irish and the English planters from the Cromwellian era."It came as a shock," She claimed, "To find this word written within the diary entry of Sean O'Sé, amidst the talk of cow farming and game hunting. And to think, that I myself, have on occasion experience such a state. It truly shows that within a few hundred years, people don't change." She goes on to say that she hopes the word will be put back into recirculation."I myself, will be using this phrase as much as possible." Mariann B. Keely, assured, "In fact, I'm going home to get embubbled!"
