"Bürkliplatz" is a square and tram stop (lines 2, 4, 8, 9, 11 and buses 161, 165) in
Zürich . It is situated at the southern end of the Bahnhofstrasse, and west of the Bellevue square, with which it is connected by the "Quaibrücke". The lakeshore quai connecting the square withLake Zürich is named "General-Guisan-Quai", afterHenri Guisan . From the quai, boat services leave forThalwil ,Rapperswil ,Schmerikon ,Erlenbach and down theLimmat toZürich Landesmuseum . "Bürkliplatz" is named forArnold Bürkli (1833-1894), the engineer responsible for the construction of the city's quais.External links
