Steven Threet is the starting QB for the University of Michigan Wolverines. Steven Charles Threet was born January 2, 1989 in Adrian, Michigan. He graduated from Adrian High School, which after he went to Georgia Tech. He later transferred to the university of Michigan.
Personal Life
Steven was born to an athletic family. His brother, Jay, played baseball at both Purdue and Bowling Green. His sister, Krissy, played softball at Eastern Michigan.
High School
Attended Adrian High School. Threet accumulated 1,896 passing yards and 20 touchdowns his senior season. He had 1,528 passing yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. Threw for 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns his sophomore year.
Recruiting
Threet was four-star prospect and the No. 9 quarterback prospect nationally according to Rivals.com. He was rated No. 12 quarterback in the nation by Scout.com. Ranked as the 12th-best prospect in Michigan by both Rivals.com and Scout.com. Selected as the No. 44 prospect in the Midwest by SuperPrep. Threet was member of Rivals250. Also named to The Detroit News Division II All-State first team. Threet was honorable mention Class A All-State by Detroit Free Press.
Collegiate Career
After he went to Georgia Tech, Threet transferred to Michigan. Listed as #10 Quarterback Height:6-5 Weight:228 Year:Fr.Threet battled for the starting QB position on the squad against Nick Sheridan. Threet didn't start the first game but got in at halftime, he led a comeback that ended up short losing 25-23 to Utah.Threet started the next two games going 1-1, winning against Miami(oh.) but losing to Notre Dame.His best game so far was vs. Wisconsin. After being down 19-0 at halftime, he led a comeback and won 27-25. The next game They lose to Illinois.
