MIXISM is the trademarked name of founding members Den (birth name Virden Vergara) and C Major (birth name Carolyn Lanuza) for their music group.

Both attended classes at Parsons School of Design and worked in Manhattan during the late 90s and have been collaborating on various design and audio projects ever since. Their initial work began as a series of murals, illustrations and print promotions combined with developments for Adobe Director, Adobe Flash, and various multimedia projects. According to their 2003 MySpace page, "Although both were creating electronic music and sound files for their visual projects since the inception of multimedia, it was not until the late 90s that the pair finally decided to identify their music and art collaborations as MIXISM, a term both have used informally to describe their work. MIXISM was the name chosen by the two while considering their own blend of favorite art and music influences."

C provides vocals, guitars, keyboards, lyrics and melody structure for MIXISM music. Den focuses primarily on producing beats and instrumental counterpoints such as bass lines and his own vocals to bring all the elements together, working with programs such as Pro Tools, Propellerhead Reason and Logic Pro. Brian D. Spadano recently plays guitars for the group.

MIXISM is scheduled to release a new album in 2008 although a specific date has not been announced.
