The Reactivity Series

The Reactivity Series

The reactivity series is simply a list starting with the most reactive metal and working it's way down to the least reactive metal. It is made by doing a series of experiments using liquids such as hydrochloric acid, water, nitric acid etc and different temperatures. Scientists measure the amount of gas produced, what gas produced, how much it effervesces (bubbles), how long it takes to dissolve etc.
