RoboCET is the Robotics Club of College of Engineering, Trivandrum. It's administered and organised by a group of CETians under the guidance of Staff in Charge.

History

College of Engineering, Trivandrum is reckoned to be among the best college in Kerala. CETians love to participate in cultural and Tech fests.

But there was always a lack of a platform where the techies could interact & work together. In particular the activity where they love to breathe life into machines, fondly called ROBOTS. It all changed with the Robotics Club, CET. The initial response to this endeavor has been overwhelming.

It all started with a bunch of S4 & S6 students who came up with the idea of formation of the club. This was put on paper & presented before the authorities, who gave their thumps up and RoboCET was established in April 2008.

Membership

The membership to the club is open for all. Only qualifications required are a technical aptitude and willingness to go that extra mile. Once in the club, members are advised to organize themselves into teams comprising of about 4 members. This would motivate team work, & faster transition from design to implementation.

Our college has had a glorious history in Robotics. The First President of Robotics Club, Shoiab (AE, 2008 batch), is one of the biggest names among Robotics Hobbyists in South India. The Club also aims to tap into the knowledge & Experiences of exCetians like Mr.Manu Chandran and seniors. And they sure have kind words.

Arun R (EE, 2008) member of the team which were among the finalists at Shaastra-2006, the Annual Technical Extravaganza of IIT Madras, says “ When we started off, we had to begin from Scratch. This Club should help our juniors to reach even higher & they sure have the potential!”
