HMS Begonia (K66)

HMS "Begonia" (K66) was a sclass2|Flower|corvette that served in the Royal Navy from 1940 until 1942, when she was lent to the United States Navy and commissioned as USS "Impulse" (PG-68). The vessel was returned to the Royal Navy in August 1945 at the conclusion of World War II and sold into civilian service on 22 July 1946, becoming the mercantile "Begonlock". Resold in 1949 and renamed "Fundiciones Molinao", the ship was renamed "Astiluzu" in 1951 and "Rio Mero" in 1956.
