Was used only for the showing of The Man from Mars and has not been heard of since. It was invented by
Laurens Hammond andWilliam F. Cassidy . The system was used in the Sewlyn Theatre inNew York . Teleview was very complex for its time as it was a way to viewstereoscopic images throughalternate frame sequencing . The projectors ran interlocked with the left/right images being projected one after the other in repeating succession. The audience had the special viewer attached to their arm rest of their chair. They simply had to position the viewer in front of their eyes and look through to get a 3-D image. The viewer ran in the same succession as the projector creating the 3-D illusion. The show was a success but after initial release Teleview all together disappeared as well as the movie.
