The Summer Sundae Fringe Festival
The fringe festival is a week of artistic and cultural events, held in the city of Leicester to preceed the main Summer Sundae Weekender Music festival, held annually on the second weekend in August at Demontfort Hall, Leicester.
The fringe festival is curated by the administrators of Pineapster, who work to provide a series of events throughout the week, geared towards promoting local musicians and other arts communities within Leicester and the East Midlands.
2009
The 2009 Summer Sundae Warm Up Parties will occur on Thursday 6th August 2009.
2008
The latest event saw an expansion to 6 warm up parties, this time deliberately aimed at differing age groups, with the Charlotte catering for people of 14+ and older, The Donkey for families, the Richard Attenborough Centre for very young families, and Helsinkis for the dance music fraternity, hoping to club it into the early hours. All of the parties were run in order to make money for LOROS, and all the artists appeared for free.
