The 2008 Asian Women's Cup Volleyball Championship was the first women's volleyball tournament of its kind, this tournament that qualified for 4 Asian team to the FIVB World Grand Prix 2009, played by eight countries from October 1 to October 7, 2008. Tournamant was staged in MCC Hall Convention Center The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima Shopping Mall, Thailand.
