"Primula deorum" (also known as Rila Primrose, Rila Cowslip or God's Cowslip) is a flowering, dicot plant from the genus "Primula". This alpine plant is endemic to the Rila mountain. The species prefers moist places and that's why grows near streams and small pools. It produces elongate and green leaves collected in rosettes by forming small groups near the brooks. The blooms are purple and flowers on maroon racemes high above the leaves. This plant has been survived the last glacial period which turns it into relict organism.
