American Majority

American Majority

American Majority' is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Purcellville, Virginia that provides candidate and activist training. American Majority’s main objective is to “build a national network of leaders and grassroots advocates who aspire to increase freedom for individuals, families, the marketplace, and our nation.” [ [http://www.americanmajority.org/about-us/who-we-are "Who We Are Page"] ] Founded in January 2008, American Majority has additional offices in Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Washington D.C.

American Majority was conceived by and provided initial funding by the Sam Adams Alliance. [ [http://www.americanmajority.org/about-us/who-we-are "Who We Are Page"] ] The organization is currently led by Ned Ryun who serves as President and a Director.

Programs

American Majority has four programs that support its mission as a political training institute:

Candidate Training Program:

The organization trains candidates who are considering or seeking elective office. Candidates are their staff members are trained on campaign basics including fundraising, grassroots, and new media and are provided individualized communication training by communication consultants during one-day training events. Activist Training Program:

American Majority hosts similar one-day events for training activists. In these events, attendees are trained how to organize coalitions, how to FOIA s government bodies, become involved in new media mediums, and volunteer for issue advocacy groups, think tanks, and political campaigns. Campus Majority:

Campus Majority is a stand-alone 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with American Majority to provide activist trainings on college campuses. [ [http://www.americanmajority.org/about-us/programs/college-training-program "Campus Majority Page"] ] The program will launch in 2009 and will include the basics of the American Majority activist training but will also include on-campus activist training.

Fellowship Program:

Scheduled to begin in the fall of 2009, this program will train business and community leaders to “advance liberty” and help participants network with “other liberty-minded individuals.” [ [http://www.americanmajority.org/about-us/programs/fellowship-program "Fellowship Program Page"] ]
