Organising Committee for the Reconstruction of the Fourth International

The Organising Committee for the Reconstruction of the Fourth International (OCRFI) was set up in 1972 by various Trotskyist groups, mostly formerly affiliated to the International Committee of the Fourth International, but including some, like the League for a Workers Republic in Ireland, which had not been.Fact|date=March 2007 Its main component was Pierre Lambert and Stephane Just's Internationalist Communist Organisation (OCI) in France.

In 1973, the supporters of Michel Varga, a Hungarian living in France, left to form the International League for the Reconstruction of the Fourth International.

In 1979 the OCRFI joined forces with the Bolshevik Faction led by Nahuel Moreno and the LTF, to form the short lived Parity Committee for the Reconstruction of the Fourth International (1979-1981). This collapsed in 1982 with the ex-Bolshevik Faction elements leaving. A notable exception was a grouping in Colombia led by Camilo Gonzales, which stayed with Lambert.

Pierre Lambert's followers regrouped in 1982 in the Fourth International (ICR).
