Bistropub

Bistropub

A bistropub (or "bistro pub") is a British term for a public house which specializes in superior-quality food a step above the more basic "pub grub and gastro pub." The name is a combination of pub and bistro and was coined in 2008 as a rebuke towards establishments serving over priced food on large plates to the masses. The term was created by Daniel Yates of Fusion Design when he created the identity of the The Lion Inn, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex.
