William White (economist)
- William White (economist)
William White is a Canadian economist educated at the University of Windsor and the University of Manchester. He began his career as an economist at the Bank of England. In 1972 he joins Bank of Canada where he worked for six years as an economist and Deputy Chief of the Department of Banking and Financial Analysis. From 1979 he works as a Chief of the Research Department and in 1988 he became Deputy Governor of the Bank. In 1994 he joins the Bank for International Settlements. From May 1995 to June 2008 he was its Economic Adviser and Head of the Monetary and Economic Department.
