USS Rainier

USS "Rainier" refers to three ships of the U.S. Navy, all named after Mount Rainier, the highest volcano in the Cascade Range and the highest point in the state of Washington:

*USS|Rainier|1917, a schooner commissioned in 1917 and decommissioned in 1919, assigned to the Mexican Patrol in waters off southern and Baja California
*USS|Rainier|AE-5, an ammunition ship commissioned in 1941 and decommissioned in 1970
*USS|Rainier|AOE-7, later USNS "Rainier" (T-AOE-7), a fast combat support ship commissioned in 1995, decommissioned in 2003, and transferred to the Military Sealift Command
