Last regional election

In the last regional election, which took place on 3-4 April 2005, Ottaviano Del Turco (Italian Democratic Socialists, then Democratic Party) defeated incumbert Giovanni Pace (National Alliance) by a landslide. An early regional election will take place on 30 November–1 December.
