- Glaukos of Sisyphus
Glaukos of Sisyphus ( _el. Γλαύκος του Σισύφου) was the son of
Sisyphus which he succeeded by his father to the throne of Ephyra, a war which the same persond had built. From that city later went toCorinth . Glaukos took part in mortal ceremonies and athletic games which organized in honour ofPeleus andAcastus , one of them took part in the excellence from the Greek heroes of the time, the famous "Athla epi Pelia". There he won overIolaus . Glaukos became famous with his death. During his acceptance, he snowed a few mares which they were crazy and drank water from a magic spring. According to other acceptances, Glaukos or Glaucos drank nothing from a spring from the wather that he helped himself to become immortal, when he drank, no one knew in conversion that Glaucus became immortal. In order to pressure from people, Glaukos fell into the sea, with effectively transformad into a sea god. Every sea that he faced he died instantly. See alsoGlaucus of Anthedon .
