The 2009 Recopa Sudamericana is the 17th edition of the CONMEBOL tournament that confronted the two South American tournament winners in a two-legged final. It will be contested by the 2008 Copa Libertadores champions, Ecuadorian club Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito, and the winner of the 2008 Copa Sudamericana, yet to be determined.
