Dark Forest is a black metal band from Canada. They were formed in 2003 by the cousins David Parks and Mark Zemlak. They released one demo tape in 2005 and shortly after the release of it, they got signed to Bleak Art Records. David Parks is the only remaining studio member, playing all instruments himself and having the rest of the band as live session members. Common lyrical themes include nature, heathenism, battle, and historical events. A new album is currently being recorded and a track from it, Bjarni Herj�lfsson ca. 985CE, was released online.
