Workington by-election, 1976
- Workington by-election, 1976
There was a by-election for Workington (UK Parliament constituency) in 1976.
It was a Conservative gain from Labour. It was one of a number of bad by-election defeats suffered by the Labour government of 1974–79, some of them in normally safe Labour seats which they won back at the 1979 general election.
