Emma Anna-Maria Green IPA-all|greːn, (born December 8, 1984, in Bergsjön, Sweden) is an athlete competing in high jump.

She won a bronze medal in the high jump at 2005 IAAF World Championships.

Biography

Emma Green was born in Bergsjön, Sweden, with mother Maria, father Lennart, and younger brother Erik. She finished gymnasium in 2003, then with a goal for 2006 to participate in the 2006 European Athletics Championships.

She won the bronze medal in the 2005 World Championships in Athletics, where she got the result 1.96 m — a new personal best. Her trainer and boyfriend is Yannick Tregaro, who is also the coach of high jumper Kajsa Bergqvist and triple jumper Christian Olsson.

On August 20, 2005, Emma improved her personal best to 1.97 m when she won the national championship in Helsingborg.

Apart from being a world class high-jumper she is Swedish Champion at 100m, 200m and long jump and a top national level in triple jump.

She is also member of the national 4x100m relay team together with hurdlers Jenny and Susanna Kallur, multi-eventer Carolina Klüft and sprinter Emma Rienas.

Furthermore, she is the cousin of rock musician Nicke Green.
