Saskatoon, Saskatchewan , Canada) is a author, speaker and marketing consultant. Tara obtained a degree in Communications and Cultural Studies at theUniversity of Calgary . In 2002, she founded a small, award-winning marketing brand called "Rogue Strategies", to offer both on and offline marketing strategies to her small and medium sized business clients across Canada. She moved, along with her business, to Toronto, Ontario before moving to San Francisco in 2005.Tara was hired by the San Francisco based visual search engine Riya to lead their marketing efforts. She left Riya as of June 5, 2006, a mutually agreed decision as her interests outgrew Riya's while Riya began traditional marketing activities.
In June 2006, Tara coined a movement of "post-cluetrain" marketing called cite web|url=http://pinkomarketing.pbwiki.com/|title=Pinko Marketing Pinko Marketing picked up where The Cluetrain Manifesto, which focused on company to consumer marketing, and placed focus on consumer-to-consumer marketing.
She continues to be a Canadian citizen. Tara is widely known for several recent projects in marketing and community-building, and her upcoming book,

BarCamp a worldwide phenomenon, with events in over 30 countries in its first year. Tara has been one of the lead bloggers on a very popular Canadian online portal One Degree.She also played and continues to play a large part in the growth of the
