- Chiltern Primary School
Chiltern Primary School is a primary school located in Buckskin, Basingstoke. This school can have children in Yr F to Yr6. This school was originally named Worting Juniors with opposite Worting Infants for about 30 years. The year 2000 was a suprising year where building contractors where conduring plans to build a big primary school and mix the two schools as one. in 2003, the plans were confirmed and the infant school was to be demolished and move to a new building over at the exisiting junior school site.be as a result of the amalgamation of Worting Infant School and Worting Junior School on 1 September 2004. It is proposed to adapt and extend the junior school building to form a 1.5FE primary school, together with a nursery unit which will be occupied throughout the whole year. They where at first going to name the school Worting or Buckskin Primary, in the end the headteacher finaly came up with Chiltern Primary School, hence it located on Chiltern Way. As said on the 1st September 2004, they celebrated with a big party with a suprise chinook from RAF Odiham come to cut the ribbon with the head to offically open Chiltern Primary School. 2008 has come and they are now building a state of the art Sure Start Family Learning Centre.
