University of Wisconsin-Extension

The University of Wisconsin-Extension (UW-Extension,) is the outreach arm of the University of Wisconsin System. Through UW-Extension, Wisconsin residents can access university resources and engage in life-long learning, wherever they live and work.

Fundamental to the UW-Extensiion's mission are its partnerships with the 26 UW System campuses, 72 Wisconsin counties, tribal governments, and other public and private organizations. Fulfilling the promise of the Wisconsin Idea, UW-Extension extends the boundaries of the university to the boundaries of the state and helps the university establish mutually beneficial connections with all its stakeholders.

UW-Extension's main office is located in Madison. In addition, it has Cooperative Extension offices in every Wisconsin county, continuing education offices on all 26 UW System campuses, and Small Business Development Centers at the 13 UW System four-year campuses. UW-Extension is also responsible for the University of Wisconsin Colleges, 13 freshman/sophomore campuses located throughout the state; Wisconsin Public Radio; and Wisconsin Public Television
