Rocket boat

A Rocket boat is a small boat which is equipped with an unusually powerful engine. Often rocket boats may have an engine specifically designed for other modes of transport but have been modified to take the boat up to greater speeds than it was previously capable of attaining. There is a rocket boat that runs from Laos across into Cambodia designed in such a way with a high horsepower road engine not intended for water transport, as experienced by English adventurer Charley Boorman on his journey "By Any Means".

Other speedboats have been enchanced and custom designed with rocket boosters for high speed racing purposes and jet propulsion, but often the design of the boat has been modified or streamlined to allow the boat to pass safely through the water and retain its balance.
