John Petty (Anglican Minister)

The Very Revd. John Petty is a former Dean of Coventry in the Church of England.

Early career and call to the priesthood

Petty was in the Army for eleven years before studying at Cuddesdon Theological College in Oxford, UK. He served his curacy in Sheffield.

Provost and Dean of Coventry

Petty became Provost at Coventry Cathedral and was later appointed Dean of Coventry; a post he held until his retirement in 2000. He is now Chaplain at Mount House Residential Home in Shrewsbury and a trustee of the Simeon Trust.
