- Pandy/The Gresford Heath Estate
Pandy is near Rhosrobin in Wrexham, in the early 1900's it was a village that the workers from the mines worked in. Their used to be a road linking it to little Acton but that was destroyed to make way for the A483.
The area of Pandy is nearby fields and Gresford colliery club is nearby. There is also a memorial which is to commemerate the Gresford disaster.
The nearby Gresford Heath Estate was built around the year 2000 and was built on the site of the old Gresford mines. Some houses have been reported to be subsiding due to the mines underneath.
Nearby is the new development of the ski slope which is a multi million pound development to bring tourists to ski. This is due to be opened by 2010.
There have been plans for housing to go on the nearby fields to Pandy but a petition was set up to object to the building of houses.
The road south view faces a green belt and therefore residents have to ask permission before-putting things on the front of their houses.
A new development has been built on the site of the express dairiy which was knocked down to make way for 9 luxury houses. The park has also got plans for an upgrade.
