Andrew Steele (politician)

Andrew Steele is a Canadian political activist, journalist and consultant.

He is currently Senior Consultant at Strategy Corp. [http://www.strategycorp.com] , a government relations, public affairs and political consulting firm in Toronto.

He was educated at Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Andrew was a senior adviser to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty. As Director of Strategic Research and Policy, Andrew was the primary political research advisor to the Liberal Caucus. He ran the Premier's successful Fair Share campaign to narrow the $23 billion gap with Ottawa. Andrew was also Chief of Staff in three provincial departments: Management Board, Government Services and Environment.

Described by the National Post as a "hard-nosed political veteran," Andrew has played a role in more than 25 closely-fought campaigns in Ontario, British Columbia, the United States and on the federal scene in Canada. Most recently, he was a key advisor in the election and re-election of Premier Dalton McGuinty at Queen's Park.
