Bernard Mariette

Bernard Mariette was the former president of Quicksilver. He became president of Quicksilver in 2001 and resigned from his position in 2008 [ [http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssConsumerGoodsAndRetailNews/idUSWNAS053020080212] ] . He previous held positions with Marks & Spencer, L'Oreal and Timberland [ [http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/bernard-mariette-and-hell-have-fun-fun-fun--except-for-the-stupid-questions-from-analysts-557438.html] ] . In 1994, Bernard Mariette became vice-president, Quiksilver Europe and was subsequently promoted to president of Quicksilver in 2001.

During his time at Quicksilver he was credited with expanding Quiksilver's operations in Europe [ [http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-quik13feb13,1,4290833.story] ] . In 2005, he was responsible for the acquisition of Skis Rossignol [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4372679.stm] ] . Bernard Mariette was educated at Montpellier University in France. He also holds an MBA from the University of Bradford.
