In 1967, Both Cecil & Neil Moved From Cameo Parkway To Kama Sutra. Cecil Had Good Fun, While Being The VP(Vice President). Neil Was The GM(General Manager). In 1973 Cecil Was Talking To Neil About Having Their Own Record Company. Neil Said, "Cecil, The Time Has Come. I'm Starting My New Record Company, & I Want You To Be My Partner." Cecil Said, "Fine, I'll Leave Tomorrow." In The Fall Of 1973, Cecil Helped Neil With Launching The Casablanca Label. Both Cecil & Neil Called Their New Record Company, Casablanca Records. Their First Group They Signed Was Kiss. Parliament Was The Next. In 1974, Cecil Talked To Neil About Signing Gloria Scott To Casablanca Records. Neil Said Yes, & He Understood That Gloria Scott Was A Friend To Barry White. Gloria Scott's Hit Single Was "Just As Long As We're Together(In My Life, There Will Never Be Another). Both Cecil & Neil Loved It. In 1975, Cecil Holmes Had Help With Neil Bogart To Launch The Chocolate City Label. Cecil's First Group Was The New York City Players. Both Cecil & Neil Changed Their Name To Cameo As A Good Luck Charm. Their 1st Hit Single Was Titled, "Find My Way." In January Of 1976, Cecil Signed The Funkateers To Chocolate City Records. Their First Hit Single Was Titled, "Give What You Got." Brenda & The Tabulations Were Signed To Chocolate City Records With Their First Slowjam Single, "Home To Myself." Roscoe & Mabel Got Signed With Their Hit Single, "United, We Stand." In September Of 1976, Blacksmoke Got Signed To Chocolate City Records. Cecil Believed That They Should Name Their First Album, "Blacksmoke." In Early 1977, Both Cameo & Brenda & The Tabulations Each Made Their First Album For Chocolate City Records. Cameo Named Their 1st Album, "Cardiac Arrest" While Brenda & The Tabulations Named Their 1st Album, "I Keep Coming Back For More." In 1978, Cecil Signed Vernon Burch To Chocolate City Records. Vernon's 1st Album Was Titled, "Love-A-Thon." In October Of 1978, Cecil Signed Townsend, Townsend, Townsend & Rogers To Chocolate City Records. Their 1st Album Was Titled, "Townsend, Townsend, Townsend & Rogers." In 1980, Cecil Signed Randy Brown To Chocolate City Records. Randy's Cool Album Was Named, "Midnight Desire." 7th Wonder Also Got Signed To Chocolate City Records, To Record Their Album, "Thunder." Cecil Enjoyed Signing Starpoint To Chocolate City Records, With Their Self-Titled Album, "Starpoint." Cecil Also Signed Kevin Moore To Chocolate City Records, To Record His 1st Album, "Rainmaker." In 1983, Cecil Was Heart-Broken When His Chocolate City Records Went Out Of Business. After The Casablanca Sales, Cecil Holmes Became An A&R Manager At Columbia/CBS Records Where His Success Included New Kids On The Block.
