Lady (Neelam Sekhri) Feachem

Lady Neelam Sekhri Feachem has over 25 years of experience in health policy, financing and management of health systems. As founder of The [http://www.hcredesign.com/ Healthcare Redesign Group] in 1994, Ms. Sekhri Feachem advises governments and international organizations on health reform, financing and policy issues; and provides consultation to insurers, providers and integrated networks on strategic business planning, operations management and organizational reengineering.

Past Work

Neelam Sekhri Feachem served as health financing and policy advisor at the World Health Organization from 2003- 2007, where she provided technical and policy guidance to a wide range of countries on health financing, with a particular focus on private and social insurance, and methods to complement public financing with private funding instruments.

Prior to founding The Healthcare Redesign Group, Ms. Sekhri Feachem spent 14 years with Kaiser Permanente where she held executive positions in hospital and medical group management, organizational development, and finance.

Since 2005, Ms. Sekhri Feachem has served as faculty for the Global Health Leadership Forum, University of California, Berkeley. She has been appointed to various Boards including the Commercial Advisory Board of the British National Health Service, the Working Group for Private Insurance of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Medical Center.

Education

Ms. Sekhri Feachem holds a Bachelors degree in Microbiology and Chemistry and a Masters in Health Services Administration, both from the University of Minnesota.

Personal life

Lady Feachem lives in Alameda, California with her husband, Sir Richard Feachem.
