- Auðr
Auðr or Auði the Rich is a character in
Norse mythology who is only mentioned bySnorri Sturluson . He appears in the "Prose Edda " where he is given as the son ofNótt andNaglfari and in the "Heimskringla " where he is the father of a girl who married amythological king of Sweden namedVisbur . In both cases he is little more than a name in a genealogy and the two names may not even refer to the same character. The name means "wealth", see
Odal andUppsala öd .Some consider him a king of Finland. [http://victorian.fortunecity.com/christy/32/frnjtre.html]
