"The Ghost Ship" is the 3nd episode of the Supermarionation television series "Stingray". It was originally aired on October 18 1964. It was written by Alan Fennell and was directed by Desmond Saunders.

Synopsis

An old style Galleon is reported destroying a modern army ship. Stingray goes out to investigate.

Plot

The ship Arcadia is reported missing and Stingray is asked to investigate. They are told that before Arcadia was destroyed it reported seeing an old style Galleon.

Troy, Phones and Marina head out accompanied by Commander Shore. They arrive at the area to find a thick fog. Soon the see a Galleon coming out of the fog towards them.

Phones and Shore go aboard the Galleon only to find it's a trap and a marine agent captures them.

Troy boards the ship and uses laughing gas to knock out the marine agent allowing him to rescue Phones and Shore.
