Kasai Allstars

Kasai Allstars are a 25-piece musical collective from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Kasai Allstars were put together by Belgian producer Vincent Kenis from several regional musical ensembles, each of which hail from different ethnic backgrounds (the Songye, Lulua, Tetela, Luba, and Luntu). They use many instruments commonly used by musicians from the Kasai region, such as the likembe, lokombe, xylophone, and tandojo. The album was well-received by Western music critics.
