Stacey Reile

Stacey Reile, also known as Stay-Lo, is a participant in the sport of women's boxing. Reile was born and raised in Utica, New York and attended high school there. Reile had a lot of misguided anger and needed a change, so after high school she moved to Miami Beach, Florida.

Reile took up boxing in 1998 after she met a Swedish boxer named Lena Akesson (a.k.a. Lena Fiore). Lena, who was signed with Angelo Dundee, invited Reile to her gym. Reile had been lifting weights two years prior and thought boxing would be a perfect fit. Dundee's head trainer, Luis Lagerman took Reile under his wing and began training her.

Reile absorbed a lot by watching and training with the world class fighters at Dundee's Gym.

It was at Dundee's Gym where Reile met and befriended WIBA President Ryan Wissow, who would later help Reile make the transition from amateur to professional boxing.

Reile had two amateur fights, winning them both. Reile won her pro debut on July 24, 2004, in Boynton Beach, Florida, by knocking out Myriam Bazile in the second round. On March 13, 2005, in Tokyo, Japan, Reile won her second match against undefeated Japanese knockout artist Riyo Togo by a four round unanimous decision. Reile controlled most of the action over the four rounds keeping Togo at bay with an effective jab and good right hands that took their toll. Reile became stronger as the bout went on and had Togo stunned at certain points throughout the bout.Reile's record improved to 2-0 with 1 KO, while Togo tell to 3-1 with 3 KOs.

On October 1, 2005, in Tokyo, Japan, Reile won her third professional bout by four round unanimous decision over Ariya.Reile's record improved to 3-0 with 1 KO, while Ariya fell to 2-4 with 0 KOs.

Reile's record improved to 6-0 with 3 KOs, while Williams' record fell to 9-9-3 with 1 KO. This was considered a big step up in class for Reile, who was able to stop the durable and experienced Williams, who had previously gone the distance with elite fighters in the sport including Kelsey Jeffries and Ada Velez, as well as having 2 wins over Leona Brown and draws with Jeri Sitzes and Angel McNamara, so this would easily be considered the biggest win in Reile's career to date.

On December 14, 2006 in Hallendale, Florida, Reile won a 6-round unanimous decision over Delia Hoppe, of the Dominican Republic. Reile's record improved at 7-0 with 3 KOs, while Hoppe, the WIBA FEDELATINA champion, falls to 4-2-1 with 1 KO.
