Maltese Cup 2008-09

The Maltese Cup 2008-09 will be the 72nd season since its establishment. It will feature 20 teams. The competition will start on October 25 2008 and will end on May 30 2009 with the Final. The defending champions are Birkirkara.

Results

When the draw was conducted four teams received a bye to the Third Round: Birkirkara (title holders), Valletta, Marsaxlokk and Sliema Wanderers (top 3 teams from the last year's league).

First Round

In the First Round enter Premier League-teams placed 4th to 10th and 10 First Division-teams. The matches will be played on October 25, 26, November 1 and 2, 2008.

econd Round

In this round enter winners from the previous round. The matches will be played on November 8 and 9, 2008.

Quarterfinals

The matches will be played on February 6 and 7, 2009.

emifinals

The matches will be played on March 7 and 8, 2009.

Final

The Final will be played on May 30 2009.
