Rob Reid won the Calgary Marathon in 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1984.
Rob is the race coordinator of the following
Greater Victoria charity running events: the Michael Dunahee Run and the St Patrick’s Run for Big Brothers and Sisters. Rob has been a volunteer board member of theRoyal Victoria Marathon for 20 years and its Race Director for 11 years.Community Activism
Rob Reid founded of the Runners of Compassion Society in 1998, to raise funds for local charities and international causes. A Nanaimo Chapter of the Runners of Compassion was started in 2003. A central program of Runners of Compassion is the Shoes For Youth Program which has provided sports shoes to hundreds of children in Southern
Vancouver Island . Rob is a member of the United Way Cabinet (2005 – present) and is the United Way Leadership Presentation Chair. Rob serves on theTelus Community Board 2007-2008 and is a volunteer with the Victoria Community Council. Rob is a volunteer with theTerry Fox Foundation . Rob was the Victoria Chairperson for 2005 Terry Fox television special recorded at Clover Point, Victoria, BC. In 2005 Rob presented theCity of Victoria with a statute ofTerry Fox . Rob has been awarded the following community awards:

Rob started Frontrunners Victoria Ltd. in 1988. He is a co-owner of Frontrunners Nanaimo and Frontrunners Langford which opened in 2000 and 2005 respectively. Rob subsequently opened the New Balance store (2003) and the Bella store (2006). Rob has received the following business awards:
