Sugarloaf Rock (Mutton Bird Group)

Sugarloaf Rock is a steep, rocky island, with an area of 3.56 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Mutton Bird Island Group, lying close to the southern end of the south-western coast of Tasmania. Fauna

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species are the Short-tailed Shearwater (15,000 pairs), Fairy Prion (2000 pairs), Silver Gull and Sooty Oystercatcher. It is a haul-out site for Australian Fur Seals.
