Silvije Vidović

Silvije Vidović, pianist born in Karlovac, Croatia, Oct. 1974. He received his early musical education in Karlovac, and later in Zagreb, Croatia, where he graduated from University of Zagreb. In 2003, Vidović continued his career and education in the United States, in institutions such as Florida International University, Boston University, and currently at the University of North Texas, where he holds a Teacher Fellow position. He was the winner of Florida International University Concerto Competition (2005), and Boston University Richmond Piano Competition (2008). Silvije Vidović was featured in several documentaries about the life and musical achievements of the Vidović family, filmed by famous Croatian director, Peter Krelja. Among his most influential teachers are; Hari Gusek, Kemal Gekic, and Vladimir Viardo.
