Roos is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated Convert|12|mi|km|lk=on east of Kingston upon Hull city centre and Convert|3.5|mi|km|lk=off north west of Withernsea on the B1242 road.

The civil parish is formed by the villages of Roos and Tunstall together with the hamlets of Hilston and Owstwick. According to the 2001 UK census, Roos parish had a population of 1,113.cite web

The parish church of All Saints is a Grade I listed building.

Famous people who have lived there include J. R. R. Tolkien from which he drew inspiration for "The Lord of the Rings" and other books. Also Ken Wagstaff, a Hull City AFC legend has taken up residence in the village as the owner of the Roos Arms.

Roos has two public houses; the Roos Arms and the Black Horse. The Roos Arms is more recognised and bears the village's coat-of-arms.
