The Graysons

'The Graysons' is a new television show in development by the CW Network. Following the lead of Smallville, this show focuses on the first Robin, Dick Grayson, before he becomes the sidekick of Batman. The show was announced on September 30th in a Daily Variety article." The show will focus on the young Dick "DJ" Grayson as he struggles to find his place in the world. The show is produced by Smallville producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, with executive production by McG.

Souders and Peterson stated in a letter posted on KryptonSite.com that the series is not intended as a replacement for Smallville, saying "While we are extremely excited to be working hand-in-hand with Wonderland, Warner Bros. and the CW to create the origin story of Dick Grayson, it has never been intended as a replacement for Smallville, as is speculated in some media."
