Eric Wild

The Rt Rev Eric Wild (1914 - 1991) was Bishop of Reading from 1972 ["D-day chaplain to be new Reading bishop " The Times Wednesday, Jan 12, 1972; pg. 3; Issue 58373; col B] to 1982. Educated at Manchester Grammar School and Keble College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1938. His first post was as a Curate at "St Anne, Liverpool" [Crockford's clerical directory1976 Lambeth, Church House, 1975 ISBN 0108153674] .
